Hey Senior parents! This information was sent home with your students earlier this week, but I thought I'd get it out this way as well so distance learners would get it too. If you would like your senior to have a poster hangin in a business around town (like they did last year), please email a high resolution photo along with the student's name and school to egunderson@minotdailynews.com. They will take submissions through the weekend.

Student Council will be hosting a food drive for the Lord's Cupboard Food Pantry from April 6th-19th. Students should bring items to their elementary classroom teacher or their cardinal time teacher. There will be a prize for the elementary classroom and cardinal time that donate the most items. We would appreciate donations of nonperishable food items or cash donations. Please contact mrshoward@nedrose.com with any questions.

We apologize for the short notice, but the student council has put together a dollar hat day tomorrow at both buildings to help support a family in our district who just lost their home to a fire. Bring a dollar, wear a hat!

Attention senior students and parents! If you have not yet ordered your cap and gown for graduation, you will want to do so ASAP to ensure everything is here in time to walk across the stage in May. Place your order at www.jacksonrecognition.com. There has also been some questions about distance learners participating in the graduation ceremony and they answer is yes, ABSOLUTELY! You have earned it :)

3/2/21 Dear Parents, As most of you already know. I have asked the students in my 5th -8th programs of either band or choir to be in the Sawyer Festival. The Sawyer Festival is Wednesday, March 24th. Times will be announced with a schedule. This is our first year attending the festival. Usually, they have the festival on our High School large group day, and I cannot unfortunately be in two places at once. Now, we get to do both this year! This is not mandatory. The students that signed up chose to go. They will perform in a classroom with a judge and receive a placing. I am excited to see these young musicians break out of their shells. I am glad they are willing to perform on their own or in a small group setting. If you do not wish for your child to participate please let me know right away. Our administration has approved us to go following our school guidelines of masks and social distancing rules for COVID. I am excited to have this time and opportunity to work with these students on a different level. As of now, parents are welcome to attend and listen. As soon as I know a schedule, I will send it home with the students and post it on our NPS website. If you have any questions, please email or call the school. I will be happy to answer them.
