Congratulations to the Girls Golf Team on their 8th place finish at the State Tournament! There were a total of 16 teams and 124 golfers playing in the tournament. The girls shot a team low score both days, Day 1 a score of 391 and Day 2 a score of 388! Meadow Roberts placed 8th overall and was named part of the All State Team! Leah Conway placed 42nd, Isabel Helde placed 63rd and Hannah Conway placed 78th! What an amazing season to all of them!! We are very proud of you all!

The homecoming dance on Saturday is for grades 9-12. It will be from 8 PM -11 PM and located in the North Gym. Please use door 12 to enter. Tickets are still available at lunch or at the door. $5 for a single and $8 for a couple. If students are bringing a guest from another school, they must sign up outside of Mr. Schmaltz's door.

Remember the homecoming bike parade Friday at 6:40 before kickoff of the football game. PK-5 students are welcome to decorate their bikes and take a lap. Participants will receive free admission to the game when they walk in with their bikes. There will be a drawing for prizes!

Girls Golf has had a very busy month competing in eight different tournaments. The start of the month we had a few tournaments where we did not have a full team but the girls competed as individuals.
Highlights:
8/10 Velva Invite- Meadow Roberts placed 2nd shooting an 86.
8/11 Bottineau Invite- Meadow Roberts was the medalist shooting an 87 with an impressive back nine of 38! Isabel Helde placed 10th shooting a 106.
8/17 Dunseith Invite- Meadow Roberts was the medalist shooting an 86 and Isabel Helde placed 4th shooting a personal best 96!
8/18 Central McLean Invite- The team took 2nd place shooting a team best of 394! Meadow Roberts was the medalist shooting an 84, Isabel Helde placed 4th shooting a 99 and Leah Conway placed 7th shooting a 102.
8/21 Garrison Invite- Meadow Roberts placed 3rd shooting a 93.
8/28 Northern Lights Invite- The team took 2nd place shooting a 410. Leah Conway placed 3rd shooting a 98, Meadow Roberts took 5th shooting a 100, Hannah Conway took 7th shooting a 104 and Isabel Helde took 10th shooting a 108.
9/1 South Border Invite- The team took 2nd, out of 10 teams, shooting a 395! Meadow Roberts placed 5th shooting a 92 and Leah Conway took 7th shooting a 96!
Our short, but busy season is coming to an end with only two more tournaments until state. The girls will be competing in Rugby on Friday 9/8 and our Region 4 Tournament is Monday 9/11 at Souris Valley Golf Course here in Minot. Wish these girls some luck for the next few tournaments and congratulate them on such a great season so far. GO CARDINALS!!
Our Cardinal Color Run is coming up on Sunday, September 17th. Here is a little info before the big day! We will have an early T-shirt pickup and waiver signing day on Thursday, September 14th from 6-7:15 pm at the high school. If you are unable to pick up/sign that evening, be sure to come to the event early.
Sign-up sheets for 4th and 5th grade girls volleyball went home today. Some things to note on the sheets: If your student played last year and still has their shirt, they will not need to order a new one this year. 4th graders or students who didn't play last year will need to pay $15 for a shirt. We currently do not have a coach for 4th grade. In order for us to have a 4th grade team this year we will need a parent to volunteer to coach. Please sign up by Friday this week, so we can get shirts ordered and rosters turned into the Minot Park District. Please message Mr. Zietz if you have any questions or if you are interested in volunteering to coach the 4th grade team.
