Nedrose Public School

Nedrose Public Schools will be resuming athletics for 2021-22 school year. As we resume our activities, we thought it is important to note that we will not be requiring fans to wear masks or restricting attendance for events. We are committed to providing masks for those who want them and will continue our extensive cleaning efforts to help keep everyone healthy. We do ask that you continue to keep social distancing when possible. We are excited for the upcoming season and can’t wait for our fans' positive energy in the stands! With that being said, activity passes for home athletic events are now available for purchase. Family pass(2 adults and all household children grades 1-12) is $160, Adult Pass $60, and Student Pass is $40. These passes are valid for all Nedrose regular season home sporting events. They do not cover tournaments or post season events. Purchase these from Mr. Zietz or at the gate of any of our home events. Go Cardinals!

All middle and high school student schedules can be found by accessing the parent or student PowerSchool Portal. If you do not know how to get access, please contact the school office at 838-5550 Monday or Tuesday from 7:00 to 4:00. Any students who would like a paper copy of their schedule can either print at home or pick up in the commons Wednesday morning when they arrive. 6th grade students will schedule their music class during first hour Wednesday morning. They are required to take either band or choir. Please make sure they know what they want to take when they come on the first day. See you all soon!

First day of school is Wednesday, August 18th! While there is no open house scheduled for middle and high school students, they are welcome to stop in between 3:00 and 6:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday to check their locker number and drop off their supplies.

A few notes for the upcoming volleyball season... We will have an athlete/parent meeting on Thursday, August 12th at 7pm in the HS commons. Please plan to attend if you can! Practice will start on Monday the 16th at 3:30 pm. Please make sure you bring your physical forms with you to the first practice. See you all soon! - Coach Raymond

Students wishing to make changes to their schedules should plan to come in next Tuesday, August 10th to do so. Upcoming seniors and juniors can make schedule changes from 4-6 pm and sophomores and freshman from 6-8 pm. If you are unable to come at this time, you will still be able to change your schedule during the first few days of school, this will just give you a change to get it done prior to the first day! Some schedules are still being adjusted, so make sure to take a look again Tuesday to see if you need changes made.

Nedrose Elementary will be hosting a back-to-school night on August 16, 2021 for grades Preschool through 5th Grade. This will be a time for parents and students to meet their teacher and bring their supplies to school. Parents and students are welcome to visit the classrooms from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. that evening. There will be a lyceum in the elementary gym at 6:30 that evening for grades Prek-5th grade. Hope to see you all there!

Girl Golfers, Parents and Guardians, the first season of fall golf is approaching. First day of practice, for both junior high and high school, is August 2nd from 8 AM - 10 AM. We will meet at Nedrose High School in my classroom. Please make sure physicals are completed by the first practice and bring your golf clubs if you have any (we do have a couple extra sets if you do not). Football Players, Parents, & Guardians, I hope this letter finds you enjoying your summer. This summer seems to be going by quickly and the new school year is right around the corner. Our team has been working hard this summer in preparation for the fall. High School football practice will start on Thursday, August 5th. Practice times will be 7AM - 12 PM. We will have a parents and players meeting on August 3rd at 7 PM in the commons area in the high school. We will hand out gear to those that need it after the meeting. Junior High football practice will start on Monday, August 16, 2021. Practice times will be at 3:30-5:30. Junior High parents and players meeting will be Sunday, August 15 at 7 PM. Please make sure physicals are completed by the first practice of the year. If the physical isn’t done, your child will not be able to participate in practice. We still want them to be in attendance so they can learn drills and plays so that way when they are cleared to practice, they are up to speed. Earnest Elite Basketball is running basketball camp at Nedrose High School on July 12-15. There is a deal on this camp for Nedrose students for using our gym.
