Nedrose Elementary School, in partnership with Souris Valley Special Services and First District Health Unit, will conduct required Child Find activities. We will be providing a mass screening to children in the area who may require special services before entering kindergarten.
To begin these Child Find activities, we will be offering a screening to all children who were 3, 4, or 5 years of age prior to date of screening. The screening will likely include a developmental, vision, speech/language, and hearing screening. The process will take approximately 45 minutes.
The mass community screening at Nedrose Elementary School is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 pm. If interested, please contact the school to schedule an appointment for your child at 838-5552. Although this process is required by law, as a parent you may choose not to include your child.
Following the screening, results will be communicated to parents by the screening team (if parents are present) or by the school staff through a written screening summary form.
